Visual Project

Project
Brief

Unit 1 FMP is the culmination of your first year and demonstrates all of the creativity, skill, concept and understanding you have gained over the past few months. You are expected to produce a documentary that includes sophisticated research, analysis, technical ability, talent, vision and knowledge. You will need to evidence the development of your work by including relevant research, reflective diary, a development of ideas and a selection of sophisticated problems and outcomes.

These should be accompanied by thorough and on-going critical and contextual reflections and evaluation. You need to pick between two briefs, each brief will need a level of interpretation and then deciding what type of documentary you will make. Each brief has a specific theme with corresponding words and artists. The brief should be used as starting point to help develop your idea. Remember the words and phrases are there for your help and to give you a starting point, it doesn't need to be taken literal.

You must achieve a balance of your ambition, time constraints and resources to make sure you can achieve your project. Do not make it too big OR too small!

You have 10 WEEKS to complete your project and include evidence throughout research, pre production, production & post production. You will need to plan and divide your project into manageable timeframe, whilst utilising independent study time.
